SAOL.com Poor Service.

I have the 4mb summer slam package which includes 3GB international and 50GB local.

The 1st and 2nd March I was not able to connect at all. After 3 calls I finally got it sorted out.

Now after I'm capped which was the same day the 2nd of March I'm supposed to have my 50GB local. But that is not the case. It gives me a internal ip and I'm only able to connect to the saol.com website. :wtf:

So I called on the 2nd and they told me it will be fixed by Wednesday (3rd) but gues what it wasn't so I called again and they said it will be fixed by the 4th and so on. I called each day.

Today is the 7 March. The problem has still not been fixed. I sent a total of 6 email with not even 1 reply. I called yesterday and the guy told me its a Telkom fault which is obviously a LIE. He also told me it will be fixed by today.

The only way I can get hold of them is by phoning them cause they don't reply to emails. :mad:

Now its 7 March and I feel is unacceptable that the problem has not been resolved yet. And its even more unacceptable that they don't inform us or don't reply to emails.

Now I have to pay the full amount without being able to use the service? :wtf: I don't think that's fair.
 
1. Dont trust their technicians, their incompetent.
2. Even if you escalate it to the Operations manager it won't help. They just blame it on Telkom even if it has nothing to do with them because its an easy answer that most people will accept.
3. The solution: take your business somewhere else and the "Telkom problem" misteriously disapears the moment you switch ISP's.

From an ex SAOL customer who battled for 3 months with senior management at SAOL to get the problem resolved.

Finally just canceled
 
I called again today. The guy said its still a problem on Telkom's side. He will call me back. Before I could tell him that he didn't even take my phone number he hung the phone up alergia. Very rude. He said that he will follow it up with telkom and get back to me. Didn't ask for my username or contact number. So I'm not sure how his going to contact me.

I'm in the same boat cavedog...totally unacceptable...I even emailed Neethi, the director and thought I would be civil about the whole thing...no response at all...terrible service from the start of the month...thats basically 1 week so far.

To think that me and you were so happy with SAOL not too long ago cavedog. If nothing is done to compensate this downtime adequately then its bye bye SAOL.

Was thinking the same thing. If its not fixed by Monday midnight I will insist on compensation or put a stop order at the bank if they refuse to fix or compinsate. If they refuse to release the line. I will speak to my lawyer.
 
Finally they fixed it.

Just change your username to @ipc.saol.com
