SAOL Slow after change?

Back on topic, I am also having the same trouble. Pedantic, do you have any idea when these "teething troubles" will be sorted out? It is extremely frustrating. I have been impressed with SAOL's service thus far, but you could have at least put something up on saol.com informing customers about the issues.

Local sites seem "fine" at the moment, but international is a no go.

Hi MerckZ .. are you also on the new system?

Did SAOL also contacted you and asked you to change your username?

What I like about SAOL is that their systems are falling apart but the directors will only be on Monday according to support.

Hi,

I suggest that if you have a problem regarding the service you paid for not being up to standard, that you open a new thread.

It seems to me that there are a few SAOL subscribers that are currently unhappy.

Like that, someone from SAOL will take note, because more people will reply to your post.

We got to get the service up to standard, ISPs are not doing us a favour.

I would say that SAOL is definetly doing anyone whos using their 10gig account a favour. It works out to almost half their cost.
Though im not out to kiss SAOL s butt cos i remember Marko saying he wasnt concerned about losing one customer not so long ago. I think he should remember that if he loses enough customers one at a time he'll be pretty screwed.

Yes I agree and even think that with that statement he shot himself in the foot.

Wrong attitude I think.

Telkom is doing a favour by not cutting out people who reach their cap.
Openweb is doing a favour by................
Everybody is doing us the clients a favour.
Forget it
Everybody is doing whatever they are doing for their own commercial reasons.

Hello Guys,

Now don't you think that my statement has been taken out of context?
I was specifically talking about one client, who had incidentally already left SAOL, but was continuing to mudsling in our direction.

Everbody knows that clients are the backbone of any business, but a line must be drawn when confronted with a situation where a client becomes abusive and detrimental to the reputation of that company. I am sure that we have all had bad experiences with companies in many instances, but it does not have to result in foul language and temper tantrums being thrown. Lets be constructive, and intent on solving the issues, rather than trying to nit-pick the small stuff.

Happy surfing

If you hadn't said it in the first place it wouldn't be out there to bite you in the arse. I dont know which was the greater faux pas from your company - that comment or Pedantic's cheap shot at the forum - http://www.mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=385820&postcount=53
Not a cheap shot at all - why announce products when it upsets people, specifically other ISP's who feel we are using the forum for free advertising ?

My thinking is to rather advertise through the correct channels on MyADSL (I.E. Banners) as we have done in the past. We will be doing so in the near future once our new products are available.

Please explain to me what is wrong with that ?

On the contrary - it's a good idea. That is the reason that should have been specified instead of the one that was.
