SAP certification

Hi all,

I would like to know which SAP certification would you recommend for someone who wants to stick with programming. And how beneficial is it to have a SAP certification in the job market here in RSA? If I do it I will also get some experience since the company is implementing the erp but afterwards I want to know if there's other opportunities here in South Africa with this certification.

ABAP, and yes, there are many companies using it.
You might want to throw Ab Initio into the mix as well.

Yip. I work for one of the big four. We all use more or less the same technology so I wouldn't be surprised if the other 3 use it.

If it is the big red one, then we may have crossed paths in the past.

Question really is, what companies besides telcos use AI. I think the banks do..

The banks are on a push to implement modern technology like AI and so-called big data DBs. Still relatively early days though.

Do ABAP but Ive found that the salaries are not as great as it was a couple of years ago and in the SAP world, especially if you do project work, you are expected to work silly hours.

You can also look at HANA. Its quite impressive IMHO.
