Hi Guys,

Just wondering my cousin is finishing up Matric and asked me where can they study SAP. I have searched locally on Google and only came up with a seminar that occurred at the University of the Western Cape in 2008, But no actual course material itself. Is it part of a larger course?

Any help would be appreciated

That's like saying that you want to study IT. Which aspects of SAP are they interested in? R/3? XI middleware? Do they even know what SAP entails, or do they just want to study in the field because they've seen some of the pay brackets?

Most SAP consultants usually have existing degrees and qualify after spending a considerable amount of time in the field and being involved in systems integration. You don't just waltz in after school and say "i can like to study SAP" :)

Sure you can! The South African Police are always willing to recruit new members!

but seriously - yeah, don't go for SAP just because of the pay - might as well study to become a plastic surgeon then

LOL, that's what I thought, I think they saw the salary's and got a "chubby". So then a good start then would be a university degree in programming / IT management that sort of thing then hopefully a job in a sector that employs SAP like banking etc.. Then only go further?

Agree with Smooth Criminal. Rather consider doing a certificate through UNISA or an affiliate college. Nose diving into fields like SAP without any foundations is going to be tuff and limit ones employment prospects.
