Are we sure about that? My refund status shows the same about how my refund 'is on hold due to your assessment being subject to audit for 2024 tax period(s).' while its a verification as per the letter I received: "VERIFICATION OF YOUR INCOME TAX RETURN SUBMISSION"
Shows this every year due to the items I claim under medical aid etc. Mine is also taking long. Probably the longest that it has ever taken. But I waited too long and with the holidays delaying it as well
Pushed to the limitsubmitted today. I am a provisional payer just R4k that I needed to top up
Wife and my cases allocated minutes after each other so lets see how long this takes, usually less than a week in the past
nice and quick turn around and once again zero issues and I have loads of interesting crypto dodads

I really hope so. I need refund come out of Januworry. It was first time SARS asked for documents and it must have been due to solar rebate.almost there now!

Wow, SARS has been kind to me then. Maybe your case is complicated ? I have only one source of income and this is first time I got delayed a bit due to additional documentation about solar levy rebate. But each time, they allocate case quickly and resolve it.

For people who got solar rebate, does it reflect on IT34 assessment as solar rebate line item ? I don't see it so is it possible that they didn't consider ? :-(

Received notification yesterday that my return was allocated to a SARS official. Only took them 111 days.
Today I receive a notice to submit additional information which I did within 2 hours.
Just got a reply that the return has been finalised without changes.
Now SARS will charge me tax on the interest they owe me on the refund which is due

Surprised to see first tax certificate email for year ending Feb-25 from none other than RSA retail bond.

I also got mine. But 2 months until its open. RSA is just doing their admin now, as in first.
