SARS fraud warning for South Africans

With tax fraud on the rise, SARS warned South Africans about a new phishing scam involving emails impersonating SARS employees.

You appear confused.

Verifiable phishing mails received from actual SARS mailboxes.

SARS is the only real fraud we need to worry about.

If I charge my clients for services, but then misappropriate those funds to enrich myself, I will go to prison for fraud.

So why is it okay for the government to do that and face no consequence?
