Section 1: Purpose
The purpose of this act is to establish a taxation system that levies a tax on soy products based on the percentage of soy contained in food products. The revenue generated from this tax will be allocated towards promoting sustainable agriculture practices, supporting research and development of alternative protein sources, and improving public health.
Section 2: Definitions

b) Taxable Percentage: The proportion of soy content present in a food product, expressed as a percentage.
Section 3: Taxation System
a) Tax Calculation: The tax rate shall be calculated based on the taxable percentage of soy content in a food product. The higher the percentage of soy, the higher the tax rate imposed on that particular product.
b) Tax Rate Schedule: The tax rate schedule shall be established by the appropriate regulatory authority, taking into consideration the nutritional value of soy products, environmental impact, and public health goals.
c) Exemptions: Fresh and unprocessed soy products may be exempt from taxation if they meet certain criteria defined by the regulatory authority. These criteria may include specific nutritional thresholds, sustainability certifications, or organic production standards.
Section 4: Allocation of Tax Revenue
a) Sustainable Agriculture Promotion: A portion of the tax revenue shall be allocated to programs aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture practices, including but not limited to soil conservation, water management, and biodiversity conservation.
b) Alternative Protein Research and Development: A portion of the tax revenue shall be dedicated to research and development initiatives focused on alternative protein sources, such as plant-based proteins or cultured meats, with the aim of reducing reliance on soy-based products.
c) Public Health Initiatives: A portion of the tax revenue shall be allocated to public health initiatives aimed at raising awareness about balanced nutrition, reducing chronic diseases, and promoting healthy eating habits.
Section 5: Implementation and Enforcement
a) Regulatory Authority: An appropriate government agency or department shall be designated as the regulatory authority responsible for the implementation, administration, and enforcement of this act.
b) Reporting and Auditing: The regulatory authority shall establish reporting and auditing mechanisms to ensure accurate tax assessment and collection.
c) Penalties: Non-compliance with the provisions of this act or attempts to evade or fraudulently avoid the soy product tax shall be subject to penalties as prescribed by law.
Section 6: Review and Amendment
This act shall be subject to periodic review to assess its effectiveness and make necessary amendments to align with changing scientific, nutritional, and environmental considerations.
Section 7: Severability
If any provision of this act is determined to be invalid or unconstitutional, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
Section 8: Effective Date
This act shall come into effect on [Date], giving businesses and regulatory authorities a reasonable transition period to comply with the new taxation requirements.
Basically. I finished weaning myself off vape in Feb, thankfully. I generally preferred the TKO fluids, those are R250+- for 120ml, a premium vape. From 1 June '23, vape-juice will be taxed more heavily than cigarettes.
SameJust immeasurably glad that I was able to stop smoking effortlessly by switching to vaping & then lowering nicotine levels in my DIY juice before all this political k@k..
Vapers have absolutely no respect for non-smokers and children. They vape in restaurants where we want to eat and breath in fresh air - it should be banned like cigarettes in public places!!
You are a walking stereo type.Non smokers should be banned from moving in public places too. Useless complaining c*nts.
