I visited the sars website to find contact details of our local walk in customer center, I saw that their working hours are from 8 to 4 and their phone number is listed.
I called the number so I could ask where the center is located, I have been calling since 8 this morning and their phone remains unanswered.
I then called sars head office to check if the number is correct and I get told that it is indeed correct but as it's a walk in customer center the staff are not required to deal with telephone calls so they ignore ringing phones.
Now I ask with steam spouting out of my ears why the freaking hell do they bother showing a phone number as a contact if no one is going to answer calls?
