I submitted 2020, and I went to the pharmacy, and they printed me a list for all the prescription medicine I had to pay out of my own pocket because the medical was depleted. I claim that amount as medical , and sars rejected it. Why did they do that. I spoke with sars yesterday and every time the calls got lost. I though you are allow to claim that money.

I think you need to submit the medical aids rejected claims?

So if you put a claim through on the pharmacy's dispensing system it's the slip that gets printed out with all your details and the claim rejection reason for the medical aid. Is this what you submitted?

My medical aid (BestMed) includes the value of the prescription medicines that I paid out of my pocket on their tax certificate. I must just make sure that all prescriptions are logged with the medical aid by the chemist.
