Well **** me if I'm stupid, but where on the SARS E-Filing website do I upload my supporting documents after I have files my return? :o

You don't have to unless the request it.

You need to keep them safe & sound somewhere...and I suggest you do so cause they can demand them at any time. I think itsfor 5 years.

Its bloody annoying, I wanted to upload mine too - because I know they're going to request them.

Yes, only need to submit once they ask you to. Once they do, you have the option to do so online.

Submitted my GF's on Sunday, got a notice that they need supporting documents today. If you login and go to your working page, there is a section for Supporting Documents. Just open the "Documents for Review" and upload your files. I am submitting about 10 files of 300KB each as we speak, and it is taking forever. It's either our lame internet conneciton, or the SARS server is busy/slow ATM. I think it is better to scan all your documents into one single PDF, but each file should be less than 2MB.

Thanks guys, makes sense! :) Last year they requested it on the Friday by email, and before I could upload it the Monday, they already paid out my taxes owed to me

So annoying!!!!!!!!

You are only able to upload once SARS has actually requested review or query on the submitted period and specified account, theis will allow butons which were never there before to apear to upload supporting docs. if its not there you dont have the option to upload docs. Managed to upload for VAT but now it seems its more of a mission with IT's. Soooo Frustrating and the call centre are useless, they know less than we do!!! Even instrutions from the support center dont make sence. There is no button to request for correction in TIs only VATs. they mention there is a "supporting documentation wizard" HYPER LINK , PLEASE TEL ME HOW TO FIND THAT!!!:wtf::confused::twisted:

I have just assisted my Gran with efiling and this is the first time they are requesting the documents. All the deductions are medical expenditure - do they want all of the slips for every medical purchase/doctor/etc.?

Thanks

Remember to include the SARS letter (requesting supporting documents) as the first document in you upload.
