SA's Internet population

The rest of the metrics are fairly simple to get but I dont think the age thing is accurate.
How can they know that info?
If they asked people then it wouldnt be representative of the full data set, only a portion in accordance with number of subjects.

easy they do a small sample then generalize on that sample for the entire population.
bam u have the answer,

I want to believe we, as mybroadband users, contribute to a sizeable chunk of the stats

Most of the time I look at the stats coming from effective measure and think huh?

26.9% apparently live in joburg, that's almost 10 million according to the stats. Of course as of last year joburg only has a population of 5.2 million. A significant over count...

Then again only 70 odd k (the 0.2% on the stats) kids going to school are claimed to access the local net, difficult to believe when every kiddie has a phone tab or both and does projects on their puters using google.

I used this as a very general guide to whats going on, reality is thst UB's don't translate to people and ages/usage is skewed to the heaviest users profiles.
