I know this is nit picking but you can't encrypt using a hashing algorithm.

Hi guys.

Yea, I wouldnt have asked for custom if it wasn't necessary. We would like the project to be in Asp.net and quite frankly I've researched a lot of asp.net cms solutions and Im quite certain that they will not meet our needs, even afterva lot of tweaking.

Now instead of raping me because of the specs, can you please just list the best web development company, in your humble opinion, in South Africa.

I will then take it from there.

I know this is nit picking but you can't encrypt using a hashing algorithm.

Of course you can. You can't *decrypt* and encryption by using a hashing algo though. So if it's two-way encryption he is looking for, he'd need a custom encryption method for it.

If it's passwords for example, you usually do a hashing algo encryption with salt. Then all you do is encrypt and compare the two to see if they're the same when someone logs in.

But yea, encrypting then decrypting with a hash algo won't work if you need to see the data again. However you can make it a part of your own algo if you want
