Went to Krugersdorp to apply for a home visit for my wheelchair bound wife.
They wouldn't give me the form as the staff are on strike.
Suggested I pop in now and again to check if they are working again....
Anybody got access to a boss?
Thanks

Sometimes your nearest ward counselor would have spare forms , ask them

Having the form won't help, he showed me haphazard piles lying around that will not be attended to till the strike is over.... .
Perhaps they have another agenda....

Slide over a streetwise 2, works everytime.

There is a strike yet someone was at work to tell you that they are on strike? Can only hsppen in government, i've never heard of such a thing.

He was on a go slow.....
At my employer he would be made a good example to all those who are on strike while at work, he has even incriminated himself by telling you all of the things he said to you, that is definitely not how go slows work but as I said it's government, nothing will happen to him.

Can't you perhaps go to a different office of SASSA?

They still write emails tho..........

Good day

Unfortunately that is the situation right now, and we also don’t know when the strike will end. You can give them a call or visit often to check if they are working or not.

Subject: Home visits for pension application

Afternoon, just been to Krugersdorp to apply for a home visit for my wife who is paralysed after a stroke on 20/9/2017.

Sadly they tell me they are not doing new applications or home visits as the staff are on strike ?

They suggest I come back and ask every so often ?

Is there not an answer to this problem?

Thanks

Home visit yesterday. Super quick.
Fingerprints and forms all sorted in less than 10 minutes for both of us.
