Good morning all, I have 4 SATA connectors on the mobo now only 2 are active, one of the connectors have broken off the motherboard now only one is active and the other 2 inactive I would like to know how to make the other 2 active so that I can connect SATA drives to either them if neccessary, At the moment when I connect it to either one of the 2 the bios does not pick it up! Thanks!

On my Dell if you set them to mixed mode, IE AHCI/RAID/SATA then you lose half of them for some strange reason. I set mine to auto and I got all 4 back.

Thanks! Can you explain how I set them to auto I assume it's somewhere in the Bios but where? Thanks!

I think it's under Advanced settings and it's called Sata Operation or something similar, could be under onboard devices.

I thinks it's aone of those hit and miss things when you chose the option to use.

In mixed mode it uses 0 and 2 and disables 1 and 3.

Advanced Settings-SATA Configuration-'ENHANCED'...Allows all 4 to be active!
