Just spoke to a guy who runs a network cable installation company. He never had much details but he told me he went to a launch last week of a company that will be offering satelite both ways upload and download.
He is going there today and will be getting one of the guys to give me a call.He said they are the only company offering the service.
I think this could be the answer to adsl.

Sounds a lot like you are talking about Sentech. Search around the forums...there is a lot of info about their offer.

[:)]

True realised that now[:)]
But he gave me another name and they based here in cape town.
Anywayz will hopefully get a call later today.Tired of this f*cking adsl and since monday this thing has even been slower(if that is possible considering the avg speed is slow).

About 2 years ago one of the Infosat support guys told me that they were looking into two way satellite, but nothing ever came of it. We'll have to wait and see. Keep us informed Supasta.

We too would be interested. (Just to show our willingness to change away from our ADSL should a better product become available - even if it costs more than ADSL)

I am confused. There are a lot of companies offering Satellite one way and two way. I got my Satellite connection two months ago from a company Platform Integration, who has a whole Network throughout Africa. Run by a women. But what good service.

If any of you want Platform Integrations number let me know. They can provide Satellite, anywhere in Africa. They also well informed of the Sentech offerings

Yes sure. 011 7925810 www.platformintegration.co.za.

Is it just me, or do others also get highly annoyed when clicking on a Pricing link on a web page, and there is just a contact number / email address?

Would it be so hard to list the prices. See, now I have already lost interest...

RE: Pricing

I agree, moederloos, I am gonna phone them...when I get pricing I'll get back to you. Gonna be expensive I think...satellite connectivity aint cheap!

What's up with all this Chuck Norris stuff. I see it in practically every thread.
