This is for a passenger vehicle...

Just wondering which company you guys recommend - what do you currently have, are you happy with it, would you rather have gone with one of the other competitor companies - if so why, and what are the monthly payments like ATM?

You should speak to your insurance company, they usually prefer a certain company, and it can drop your premiums more to go with a company that they prefer.

I've been using Tracker for 5 years now and they are on the ball. I've never had an incident, but the times that I did forget to switch off my device (I've got the one the I need the arm and disarm with a seperate remote) they were very quick to call. I'm currently paying R 215.00 a month, but there is a cheaper one of R 145.00 a month or so, I think.

I know my dad was using Tracker as well, but he bought a new Merc Viano that came with Matrix (the one where you can track your vehicle live on the internet) and he's extremely happy with it. This is quite expensive though. I think R 400.00 or something. He's now switched all his cars to Matrix.........

I know for sure that with Outsurance you get a discount on Tracker.......I don't know how much though.

I have a Raptor in my car but havn't had any incidents yet. You can track your car's movement online though, which is nice.

I have heard very good things about c-track from a friend of mine who uses it in his trucks.

I have also been with Tracker for 6..7 years, and yes Outsurance does offer a special "deal" with Tracker - it was ZAR80.00/month but it appears to have increased to ZAR89.00/month on the last bank statement, I wonder what it will be on the next bank statement...

Just had a look at Raptor's website, interestingly Outsurance isn't listed as one of the insurance companies that are Raptor-friendly...

Yep I know, the reason I created this thread, is that I'm not actually very happy with Tracker, and since I have been with Tracker for so long, I need perspective on the other options available to me.

I am also deciding whether to stay with my current insurance company or switch to another one - I currently have the luxury of being able to pick & choose.
