Hi guys,

I got the new SE Satio yesterday & im completely blown away :)

Still have to use it for a few days before I can tell of any flaws.....

Camera is unbelievable, touch focus FTW, OS almost nmakes the phone feel like a Nokia, Screen is just brilliant. No physical keyboard, but im cool with that as the on-screen QWERTY is very good, oh and so far no lagging. :)

I cant stop smiling :)

Please keep us updated, especially on stuff like application/OS freezes, and random reboots!! Do your phone show you the name of the person when you receive a sms or only the number? Does it have any equalizer and also is it branded by Vodafone?

Thanks Izak

Congrats Rands

My SIL got her Satio upgrade last week, from the little time i had with it must say i was extremely impressed.

For one its very light, considering what you get, a little broad but nothing hectic.

The screen is just stunning, so is the homescreen, menus are very similar to the 5800, options, etc. Camera is superb as you would imagine...

She got the silver version, was hoping it was black, still a very attractive phone.

Izak, I didn't find any equalizer as yet. When u recieve a sms, it shows ' 1 ne wmessage' on the home screen, when u go into the message it shows the name of the person. there is a app called sms preview installed that will show the full sms on teh homescreen, but i did not install it yet, it requires an international sms to be sent to activate & i dont know how much an international sms costs!

It is Vodafone branded but not locked, im using my MTN (!) sim in it & it works fine. has Vodacom & Vodafone splash screens at startup & has Vodafone access points preset as default connection, but I changed these to MTN and Operamini, browser etc works fine.

the other ting I found out is that Satio themes as such is non-existent as yet, BUT I can install any theme created for the N97 & 5800, and theres plenty of those :)

more later......

Is the satio built by SE, or is it also a quasi-HTC (like the Xperia)?
