Hi Guys,

I've been putting around 10k towards the AG Money Market fund for the past couple of months but I'm thinking of putting some of this towards the Satrix S&P 500 ETF, would this be wise?

Thank you ;)

Not a bad idea, but don't buy through Satrix themselves (limited selection going forward), rather use Easy Equities to buy Satrix ETF's

Yeah, use Easy Equities or ABSA.

Personally, I prefer the Developed World ETFs over S&P500. Don't see the point of just investing in the US when Europe etc. is out there too.

Thank you for the replies. So I've got existing debit orders with SatrixOnline and DbxOnline which is annoying af since I have to logon into these individual accounts every time. Do you perhaps know if there's a way to move these to Easy Equities or anywhere else just so that I can have them all under a single profile?

Yes, you can request a transfer. EasyEquities should be able to assist. Keep in mind that there will be costs involved depending on how many Instruments you transfer.

Is there really a Satrix S&P 500 ETF? Anyone got a link? I know there is a CORESHARES S&P 500 (CSP500) ETF...

Isn't it more expensive though?

It is but DBXWD is not comparable to CSP500 as it invests in more than just US stocks. If you want to compare costs the compare it to DBXUS instead.
