A fun Saturday project inspired by @Pufferfish94's post.
We have a similar problem - a single garage. My car lives in the garage. Often my Mrs. comes home, parks in front of the garage only to find I'm not home. Then it's moving cars backwards and forwards = mission. So with the help of an ESP32, an ultrasonic sensor positioned above the car and a single WS2812 LED, we have a nifty indicator : Green if my car is in the garage, red if it's not, and flashing blue at night to ward off crims ( because why not ) !
