Saved from dogs' jaws

Hmmmm some very strange things there...

They make no mention of WHICH UKZN grounds...
Farouk just blithely walks onto his friends property when he knows his friend has a pitbull, and is also wanting to institute criminal charges against his friend? Not much of a friend is he then?

Inb4 owner claims they are "sweet loving animals that would never harm a fly".

Too late for that one...

The dog owner has visited the family at hospital to apologise. Cecil Thomas, whose son owns the Rottweilers said the family is “very sore” and sorry for the victims, but said no decision has been taken about the two-year-old dogs’ future.

He said they are “pets” and not vicious.

What punishment do the dogs owners get? Maybe we are just to lenient, maybe we should start handing out min 10yr sentences or euthanize both dog & owner.

There it is.

He said they are “pets” and not vicious.

“They are inoculated and looked after … my wife and daughter have just been to Woolworths and Pick n Pay to buy chicken and special food for them and are visiting them at the SPCA,” he said.

He said his son’s yard and his own, where the dogs stay on weekends, are very secure. They have no idea how the dogs got out.

Even getting rewarded with whole chicken.

Rottweiler not pitbull

It depends if they were negligent or not. But an unprovoked attack like this one is usually good grounds for euthanasia.

Mohamed said he will not pursue the matter further in terms of legal action against his friend, but wants the dog to be put down “before it kills somebody”.

The friend, Abdullah Dawood, said they had plans to give the dogs away. He said the dogs had attacked “one or two” beggars who came onto his property in the past.

Good dogs, amirite?

Really now Cecil

I love dogs, especially Rottweilers. I have even met a nice pitbull or two in my time.

However I have one simple rule. If the dogs attack a person outside of the property, or a friendly person inside the property, or a child, then they must be terminated. If they attack an intruder/robber then they will get served steak and drink only bottled water.

In the three cases listed I believe all the animals must be destroyed. They can't be trusted. Its that simple. Very sad though because I am sure they have brought their owners much joy.

The issue is this:
People have these dogs for guarding their properties. So if they do get out, things get nasty. If they can't keep the dogs in the yard they should not have them. Simple as that.
