Say sorry Eskom

“We know what the problem is [and] we know what solution is required to get out of the situation that we find ourself in, as Eskom and as a country,” he said.

Can't they be transparent and let us common civilians know what the issues are and what the solution is?

The group said it was disappointed that Eskom and the department of energy refused to use the crisis as an opportunity to accelerate the renewable energy programme in the country.
If there was something good that could have come from the power crisis it would have been renewable energy. Why is the Department of Energy not taking advantage of it?

BTW, Eskom cannot say sorry because they believe that there is no crisis.

A friend from Zim thats working here in SA said that they had the same problems in 90's. rolling blackouts ect. but he highlighted last year that it started getting worse when their Eskom stopped apologising.

I was there and its true

If they possessed advanced thinking at all they wouldn't have run Eskom into the ground like they did in the first place.

dont apologize eksdom just fixing the issue, the renewable energy/private contrubutors to the power grid/stop giving bonuses based on "working" year and give performance based bonuses...

The issue is that the CEO is an idiot so it filters down the chain of command.

If thats not the worse part, the government is idiots, who worry more about the votes insteads of the voters, they would shake your hand and stab you in the back at the same time.

we need a change but majority ****ing rules.

Dont bother to say sorry,

Rather say - we give a hoot for AA and BBBEE, we give a hoot for the ANC and its silly leaders, and we will pull our fingers out of collective ring pieces and get the problem sorted.

Maybe - you're fired - may be the right thing to say to the execs and some of the technicians.

Then rather than talking shyte go and DO something.

Remember - this was apartheids fault. In fact, they went thru great pains to make this point, until the EFF told them to shuddup.

I am glad they finally admitted to a realistic date to Kusile - First half of 2017.

Which goes against what they said in December last year, where they said late 2015, and therefore a reduction of loadshedding.

This means that from mid 2015 to mid 2017, we will only have 800MW of new power on the grid. Unless Eskom resolves MAJOR issues in the next 6 months, we will have load shedding until the end of 2017!

They said load shedding will only decrease when Kusile Unit 1 comes online ....

Check how offline capacity has increased since the cancer ordered Eskom to keep the lights on at all costs...
