I am having a problem.

I have two network cards, 1 connected to iburst and the other connected to a switch for my users. I can connect to the internet from the server but no user can access the internet. Im sure its my settings on the nics.

NIC1 ---------> External Connection

IP Address: 192.168.16.3
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:
DNS Server: 196.30.31.193
196.46.70.1

NIC2 ---------> Internal Connection

IP Address: 192.168.16.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:192.168.16.3
DNS: 192.168.16.2
WINS: 192.168.16.2

What should be where as I am sure its the default gateways. All the clients pick up 192.168.16.2 as their default gateway.

Try inserting the IBurst default gateway in the external NIC properties. If the Iburst modem gives the internal IP address 10.0.0.250, use 10.0.0.1 as DG.

the iburst has a default gateway of 0.0.0.0??

Its connected on the external nic into the desktop modem, and the connection is configured as a pppoe on sbs 2003, if that helps, but i did double check and the dg is stil 0.0.0.0

Bridging both Local Area Connections is this case is your solutuion.
If each connection was connected to different subnets, then you would have to enable LAN routing in the RRAS consolse.
