I really need some guidance with the maintenance of the pool., the pool is about 2 years old fibreglass 10 000 liter
We bought a house last year May at end of July was the last time we had a clear beautiful pool, as we are new to the pool thing we were not aware that there are different kinds of chlorine,,,with and without stabilizer, so we bought the stabilizer one's , so after using it for 3 months about this is where the problem started ,,,pool stays cloudy there is no sign of algae,...some kind of chlorine lock happened then.
So we had the normal rains and there was an imbalance in the ph and alkalinity figures, off to the poolshop we went for advise, they gave us sodium bicarbonate to add to the water 4kg later,,then acid ,after a week and there is where it started a lot of scale buildup around the pool surface.
We had 3 pool guys over and there recommendation was drain 80% of pool water , refill, balance the levels, again the poolshop tested the water...cyanauric levels did not change it is still high. . So the 8000l of water that we wasted down the road did not help.
So it is now since Dec that i was yo-yo ing with the chemicals then this then that according to the poolshop, I am fed-up now every month it costs me in excess of R400 nothing changes.. Last week we added hth stain remover this has done nothing then again it was chemicals to get the ph and alkalinity balanced water stay's a little cloudy but not milky just slightly clear.
Alkalinity, ph and chlorine readings are within limits, how do I get this scale away it looks terrible
