"Scammed" by Geo-Gas CC - Under delivery

Hi

Phoned them to replace our 2 x 19kg gas bottles as we had run out of gas.

They delivered 2 x 19kg gas bottles to our house last week while my wife was home, and all was well. Last night our gas stopped while we were cooking, I inspected the bottles, and 1 x 19kg bottle was empty, andi had to switch over to the other one. I asked my wife if she saw the bottles when they installed them if they had the plastic "anti-tamper" cover, she says she wasn't watching.

So basically, Geo-Gas delivered 2 x 19kg cyclinders, but only 1 of them was full, and of course charged us for 2x full ones.

Fking scammers - dont use them. Tell everyone.

I am not interested in spamming Hello Peter and all that either, just thought some of you helpful people should know.
 
If i were you - call them and see what they have to say about it , from your posting it appears that you havent done so - could have been a mistake you never know.
At least you will know for next time to check the bottles on arrival :)
 
You shouldn't have been a wimp then and just taken the empties to your nearest refill/exchange shop :-)
 
This is similar to a scam reported last
year.

They take away your 1/2 full containers
and replace them with full ones.

hilton, thanks for your constructive reply.

1. I can't transport 2 x 19kg gas cylinders, as they were BOTH empty.
2. The gas emptied 9pm, we obviously wanted gas the next day; i am fortunate enough to have a day job - which means i dont get to go to the nearest refill/exchange shop.
3. i find being condescending in your trolling posts really makes a difference. Good one!

I wasnt at home...but now the wife knows to check for the seal :(
 
just call them and ask if they think it is normal that a bottle only lasts for a day. give them a chance to rectify. if they are stoopid come back and tell us about it.
 
Ja, relax. There is such a thing as human error. Accusing a company of being scammers for what could quite easily be an innocent mistake or the fault of a negligent employee is not cool.

Phone them and tell them about it and ask what they're willing to do about it.
 
I went to the website and must say that the info is very minimal: No physical address and no land line. Where are they situated?
I'm not trying to defend them but I'm sure that they don't fill the cylinders themselves. They receive the cylinders from a depot with seals on the valves. With the necessary experience the driver should be able to distinguish a full cylinder from an empty cylinder. What brand of lpg was it....Afrox. BP Easigas?
 
Agreed with half the people on here, phone and ask them to rectify.

If they're not willing, then make a big noise so everyone else is careful too ;)
