Hi there

We need an office scanner with an adf. It must be fairly fast one but not massively so. Need to scan a few docs a day maybe 100 pages per day. A standalone one is probably a better idea for us. Above all it must be reliable. Looking to spend 5k or under. Suggestions?

Look at the all-in-one printers. Most probably you need a unit with a mono laser printer.

HP and others have lovely products.

Just check - some don't have colour scanners.

It is a very nice thingy to have in the office as bulk photo copiers tend to fail according to Murphy's law. Ours (HP3030) has saved the day many times as a photocopier.

Thanks

Is Hp the way to go. I have had good service from HP printers in the past. Is the ADF mechanism on the multifunctions good for the distance? Any other brands?

I had excellent service from my HP.

I recently bought a Samsung for our Gaborone office as I could not readily find an HP in Gaborone.

I'm buying another Samsung now for our Pretoria office. They are much cheaper. Just make sure the dealer selling you the Samsung can also supply the consumables at a reasonable price.

Hp 3055

Makro has these for R3899. Can anybody beat that or is that good price?

Read some reviews that rated this one well. Anyone got one?

I bought a Canon recently (4400f) - not suitable for bulk scanning though - but works well. The guy in Incredible Con said HP were pants!
