Scanning a range of IPs

How big a range is it? Are the ports open for a connection?

If you don't win, and the range is not too vast, and the ports are listening, ( whew! ) , I could try to rustle you up a program to do what you want.

I theory, of course, it would be much better for the other end to detect and send any change, but you'd probably have to make the router do that and I wouldn't know how other than signing up for a dyndns type service. I assume the machines behind the router do not change IP address?
