Scary cable similarities

I discovered last night by accident that the Sentech modem USB cable has an identical connector to that of the Samsung cellphones. Thinking it was my Samsung USB data cable, I plugged it in, and the phone switched off, and I couldn't start it again. Fortunately, pulling the battery out and putting it in again allowed the phone to start up again. I was having nightmares of blown circuitry due to different pinouts.

Hmmm..... scary. At least your phone still works. And now we know where the connectors come from... he he.
