Schengen Visa validity

I have a Schengen Visa that I got last year that is valid for a year. I used it to travel to Germany and the Netherlands.

It is only lapsing end of July 2017 and I have not been in Europe for more than 90 days during the year. It is a multiple entry visa.

I want to go to Portugal end of June that is still within the validity period.

Do I need a new visa or can I just use the one from last year that is still valid?

As long as you leave Europe before the existing visa expires it should be fine.

My last Schengen was valid for three years and I did multiple EU trips with it that were quite far apart.
