Any experiences or advice on the following will be appreciated:

My wife will be travelling to England 22 April to 7 May, and the UK visa application was submitted and will probably be issued around 12 April. She wants to visit Paris for 1-2 days which requires a Schengen Visa. Is there a way to arrange this quicker having a UK visa already?. The normal application times for Schengen is 15 days, and they usually will not take and application if it is required in shorter period.

No. UK has no bearing on europe any more.

Got my french S visa precovid in less than 24 hours they are some of the quickest around

Ah yes this is 100% real.

Paris in your mind/movies is not the "real Paris"

Pre covid we went to France for two weeks in this order

1. Toulouse
2. Nimes
3. Strasbourg
4. Lyon
5. Paris

Paris was our least fav part of the trip, as an alternative I would almost recommend Lyon rather. But if its more to tick a box I guess Paris it must be.

Oh yes its ALSO INSANELY EXPENSIVE

Dunno man. Wife and I had a great time in Paris. We did all the ultra touristy things though in the middle of summer.

Only downer was we were bounced from every club we tried to go to. Apparently they frown on English speakers as troublemakers I was later told.

Nice choice. Lyon is really nice (good food as well)

We also visited Nice. I would recommend not staying in Nice itself, but just outside, more to the east side.

Also, I'm trying to save their marriage because the Paris leg of the trip is going to make her sad and that's how legions of French offer shoulders to cry on, as we all bloody well know ...
