What are you all buying the primary school kiddos in terms of bags for school books, maybe with section for lunch boxes and bottles..?

Anything out there that's actually hard wearing, durable and lasting the abuse kids put on them..?

My kids are using Boomerang. Yes, bloody expensive but they last coz of the hard base and thick fabric/lining.

Hiking bags tend to last longer, though maybe a smaller one for primary school kid.
Lunch tins after many many years, you'll be replacing those over and over
Was just referring to the school bag itself and whether the school bag maybe caters for bottle holders on the sides or a small compartment for lunch bags..

Even better than, cause the hiking bag should cover that. But it really does depend on the grade I guess.

Well maybe I'm just old, but give them a proper breakfast before school, not highly processed rubbish like 'post toasties' or such (highly processed chemically altered corn starch or rice). Thry will feel full thr entire morning. You could provide lunch when they get home and that would remove the need for these bags.

So giving them breakfast will remove the need for a school bag for their books and pencil case...

Come on man, please read.. I already clarified my statement around lunch bags and bottles.....

I bought the school branded bags thrice, which never last and was overpriced for what it was. I bought a bag from Checkers, it had a hard plastic bottom, stronger stitching & zips, and thicker padded straps.

Karrimore is the OG for school bags, I still have my generic red mountain one.

Yokico ... for no other reason than kids of a certain age thinking it's awesome

backpack that's too large to fit in a pigeon hole, hard base, and it has wheels and a damn extending handle like airport luggage
