The idea here is that it's more manageable to keep children apart than in a school setup.

You can have a class in a huge hall where tables are spaced apart and not cramped like in most schools. Children are then also not exposed to a home environment, bringing the virus back home.

Keep in mind also that your kids at home might actually have food to eat. PLENTY of kids in schools all across the country have nowhere else to eat but at school, because they don't have homes. Schools opening for them means food as well.
