You made 1 obvious mistake and one potential mistake.
1) Genetic engineering IS NOT creating artificial life that could never have existed naturally.
You are quite right. That is not the limit of the scope of genetic engineering so what I should have said is "it can be used" not "is". Well spotted. Thanks for pointing it out so fast, this is what I would appreciate that you do in the future.
2) Viral vectors don't self-replicate anyway. But viral vectors can replicate and insulin analogue genes can replicate and exist without human intervention.
Some can. Most can't. Again this particular example used was one that can't.

Yes I would definitely prefer it so if next time you could please just point out errors you see directly so that we can move along efficiently as opposed to mucking about for page upon page that would be much appreciated.
