hi

1st yes i know the word scooter and performance cant be used together :P

anyways

i got a gy6 150cc scooter
and i been playing with the idea to mod it and make it nice

i found a site

anyone here know where i can get other parts

like high flow carbs/bigbore kit/ maby even a tiny turbo :P

Do they have any kind of dyno-tested before vs after results?
If not then it's pointless to waste money on something that doesn't do anything.
 
Wait, you want to turbo a scooter? Not even sure that can be done, and will probably not end well.

The biggest gain you can get with the least amount of money spent is to get an aftermarket exhaust.
There are quite a few (expensive) international brands to choose from: Yoshimura, Akrapovic etc. Luckily, you can also get (cheaper) local brands. Be sure to check out http://www.prd.co.za/, http://www.bossonperformance.co.za/, http://www.cokerraceproducts.com/

Apart from exhaust you can look at upgrading to a Malossi Multivar. Malossi make very good aftermarket internals for bikes.

Edit: Just keep in mind if you go overboard it will affect your reliability, and fuel economy.

true gained like 15kg this year :/ hope to loose 25kg from now till nextyear

well i had it for over 5 years 6k km on the clock
so want to bring some new life into it,and why not

if i can get all the parts for not that bad price ,
and honestly its something i always wanted to do,

and who dont want a turbo charged scooter,something diffrent,not fast but a "sleeper scooter" :p

for fuel economy i dont really care that much

Be warned, engine will not last long :D
 
Well it would certainly be unique, and might give people a few laughs, so that's a plus. Other than that, sell it and buy a bike.
 
yah if i get a bike
would probaly look at a older CBR250RR or a older 250cc 4cyl
tobad you dont find them for sale that much,and price quite high

but i LOVE the older 250's

and and haveing a unique scooter for me is nicer than a normal everyday bike
 
The reality is...even on proper performance motorcycles you will see a 5% difference in power...if even so much and most of us generally just do it for the noise.

Since you are starting with a 150cc...you don't really stand to gain all that much and the value for money proposition is quite shocking.

You would do better to save the money and just buy something bigger/better down the line.

that a fiberglass front of a old fiat?(500/600) looks like it the size/style,but also not

anyways i like it! reminds me of the bmw isetta

only thing ur dad can do is try to cover the scooter end more so it dont even look like a scooter :)

edit: that thing with a R1 engine,now that will be intresting

maby a 180cc one with some tranny upgrades ,belt,rollers and all that stuff in it

4k for the kit, that got everything engine wise,willing to put that down
