Okay we're A for Away! All the little niggles sorted and site is officially live. Very proud of the devs, thanks Kim and Tim for putting up with me and producing a great site, members please feel free to PM me and I'll get you their contact details.

The most impressive part is the innocuous "Quick Estimate" page:

Simply put in the purchase price of the product you're looking for, it's local shipping cost in the country of origin(if applicable), select the item type and it's weight and hey presto you'll get a final number for using my service.

This is calculated at the current live exchange rates and includes all duties etc payable, and yes it is accurate. Cool hey? No need to wait for a quote, all right there and instant! If the total is in your ballpark you'll be given an option to forward me the details to confirm the estimate and job done!

Thanks, Scott - can you put down the restrictions you're faced with (I remember something about not being able to import batteries from east to west or west to east or something like that). Any other niggles that we could avoid that apply to certain sites would be helpful.

I'm currently shopping around for a lappie for work so would be nice to know which vendors \ sites you can actually source from without red tape getting in the way.

Currently only able to bring in batteries from the US, the restrictions are on the quote page :)

I think it's being hit a bit hard at the moment, or the devs may be fiddling. Please let me know if it goes down again.

Hey. Just used your website to get a quotation.

Why don't your quote form include a line for the delivery address? I'm in an outlying area, and not all couriers deliver to me. Just saying.

I've yet to find an address my local couriers can't deliver to, and if they don't happen to deliver to you I'll make a plan guaranteed! I keep the local shipping costs fixed so it's fairer to people in outlying areas, it all averages out.

All of those prices besides the final one are in dollars. and its a 4kg item, and the final price includes thats $1500 +$200 purchase price
