Want to sell my car, think I must first fix up a couple of scratches on the front bumper...

Any recommendations in the Sandton area which I could pop out to during work hours?

How fixable do you guys think they are?

/pics to follow

Its a Ford. Not worth fixing, just write it off and claim.

Google a speed shop there are quiite a few around......like automagic etx

Rubbing compound's just an aggressive polish; won't help much for scratches through the paint finish. If you're trading in, talk to the dealer - they'll be able to have it fixed for less than you. If you're selling outright you're probably looking at R2k + to have it repaired.

Will be trading it in, but I'm just afraid the scaly buggers will take too much off the trade in price.

If your car is something they're keen to have for stock that little blemish shouldn't make more than a R1,000 - R1,500 difference to their offer. If it's obvious from the rest of the car that it was well treated, that is.

Upgrading the Focus to a Golf...? ;)
