I signed up for a 384 screamer adsl account after they release their uncapped R400 package as I thought I would like to support the companies that take the steps to reduce broadband prices in our country.

But unfortunately this was a very bad experience up to now as the line speeds are very slow and I think worst is not getting any response from their help desk.
If they could just say there is some sort of problem and it will be resolved in x amount of time clients might still support them but ignoring clients is chasing them away faster then they came!!

Hope to hear something from them soon else I’ll have to cancel my account with them.

The last few days have been bad.....i do not use them for browsing since it is really sucks.I was ok for downloads till 2 days ago when during the night it worked for 3 hours only(according to my internet traffic monitor) an last night it did not work at all.......that is the story.....which is b......t.........

Jip... last two days they have had major problems, infact I have been using my iBurst account exclusively....

I usually find iBurst more reliable in this case :)

I think you need to get an uncapped CyberSmart account....

Been trying to download the internet over night :) 34,6 kB/s and its 10;14 in the morning and it looks like they are not throttling during working hours :)

Still haven't got any internet after 3 days and finally someone got back to me (I included every Email I could find)

Either way, their service is bad even if the fault below is true, so now I cannot get onto internet banking or remote into work last night causing me to drive in and waste an hour on a 5 min job, urghhh.

Goodbye Screamer, hello digichilli, 256Kbps is better that nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Andre,

Sincerest apologies for the inconvenience and frustration caused by this matter.

The link to our upstream provider was struck by lightening causing the disruption of services.

Thank you for your patience.

Kind regards,

....BEAUTIFULL.....

the gods must hate screamer cause they've been struck by lightning like 50 times in the last year or so

Since last night theres been absolutely no connectivity on the screamer account. I am connected just no data going through.

I simply cancelled, cant be bothered with the account anymore as i dont see anything changing in the short future. moments of hope followed by absolute frustration, over it.

I have two screamer accounts - TERRIBLE

Now using a 3rd ( IS account)

MAKES YOU WANT TO SCREAM

Just got their b.....t story about lightning via sms...........

Having the same problems. Got my account activated on Monday. I mailed them today to cancell my account. If I received feedback I would have probably stayed on until they sorted the problems out, but I'm getting nothing from them. I had to buy 1GB from Axxess just to get on the net again. Sorry Screamer, don't think you are gonna make it. I'll rather pay R100 a gig and get service.

Another one post wonder...

if you do a screamer internet search on google.co.za, mybb is the first linked site. not surprising that people who have issues with them would register to vent frustration.
