Screamer connection just stops working

Hi all

I got my screamer wimax installed on wednesday, and it worked fine until yesterday (friday), when suddenly the connection just stops working. I remain connected, but no data uploads/downloads. A reconnect then gets it working... for a while, sometimes only for 10 minutes before it dies again, sometimes longer.

I've seen this problem mentioned a couple times in the screamer threads, yet no solution. Is there one??

That's Screamer for you. People have been having issues like that, and I mean EXACTLY that, for years now. I was one of them. I've switched to adsl/Afrihost for the past 5 months, not a single problem since. If you can get away from Screamer do so asap.

I have read most of it - i sawsome references to tcp-rst, but my understanding is that was causing actual disconnections?

I also realised that its only been doing this since i changed my router to an asus n-spec. I've put the old belkin back, and so far its remained connected (although its only been ~50 minutes) ...

I changed to screamer from iburst. ADSL is not an option (apparently telkom doesn't have a line for me), so for now I do think screamer is the best option.
