Hi guys,

As some others, I have received disconnects on WoW ever since I joined (Nov).
Recently I have had disconnects in BFBC2 every 10 minutes.

However, since Neels and Vikus' visit here, 6 days ago, I have had only 1 disconnect in BFBC2 the whole week! Even then, it may have been a total disconnect on the network.

Anyway this is how it may have been fixed...

Neels mentioned that it was upstream from my CPE that was at fault (that is from my aerial to the tower).
So what he did (together with Vikus), was install a Mikrotik Routerboard 750 to initiate the dial up to their network. Apparently it's the shiz for some kind of monitoring they will do.

Ever since the install, it's working like a bomb!!!
My ping to www.google.com is 0% packet loss, and average of 229ms!!

So, maybe it could help those with WoW problems...

/ now I must just renew my WoW account.... /

:)

thanks for the post.

I to currently still suffer from disconnects when i occasionally play cod6/bc2 and funny enough also at almost 10 min exactly. And yes it is the upstream i can see on the lagometer the lag/disconnect last for about 20 seconds right? Did they pin any prices on you for the router board? i mostly do downloading of rapidshare so its not so much of an issue to me. But if screamer cover the costs of the routerboard and the call out (which they should as this is there problem) i would attempt to try and sort this out with them.

I just dont think its fair for me to have to pay for this. I bought the equipment and payed for installation and obviously it should work flawlessly les the isp problems, paying for a routerboard to fix dialing in to the network wich the alvarion equipment should do perfectly doesnt seem right to me.

Will they pay for all this?

I have not had to install any router equip?
My in game latency to WOW is between 190ms and 350ms
