Screamer still terrible?

I love the sound of their unlimited offering, and I'm hoping they sort out their issues. What is the current consensus?
 
Last I heard, you would be better off tying a string between your PC and a telkom exchange fence and by some miracle, your 56k transforms into Optimus Prime. Though don't quote me on that :)
