Ok, so I have had Screamer WiMax for a while now and besides the odd 2 minutes every 2 week that the service is down and the odd stutter in VoIP calls from my "Screamer Line" - I've quite happy. Speeds are wonderful, service is amazing and accounts department seems ok.

(I base the above comments on service on the six to seven calls I've had to place to their various departments to enquire about additional services, changes, upgrades and statements requests.... all answered within 30 minutes with action on additional services within 6 hours...)

Anyway, I did find this quite funny.... Take a look at Screamer's Home Page under their TOP DOWNLOADERS FOR THE PAST MONTH * section. ADSL Figures for uncapped services given according to users on their 384k, 512k, 1024k and 4096k offerings respectively... ADSL figures, ok fine... let's just believe them...

... move onto their WiMax figures, and I'll start at the top...
4096k WiMax Uncapped? Huh? But their WiMax service tops out at 1024k???
So, it's not possible for them to give a TOP DOWNLOADER on their 4096k WiMax offering, since it CAN'T and DOESN'T exist!
So, let's assume (which is always a dangerous thing... especially on a MyBB forum post since I am probably going to be ripped to pieces now) that the 4096k offering is actually meant to be figures for their 1024k WiMax offering?
Fair Enough... do the calculations on the maximum theoreticaly throughput GB's that you can do through a 1024k connection in a month... then it would make my assumption incorrect as their claimed 577 GB's last month, is 246 +/- more gigs than a 1024k connection would allow (theoretical throughput at maximum) - so then what is this 4096k WiMax uncapped, more importantly, why is it not on their website? Also, have they like hacked the manufacturers equipment and CC Base Stations to run at four times the speed that they're designed to? Fine, then how the hell do I get my 1024k upgraded to 4096k (WiMax) ???

So then let's go to their 1024k WiMax Uncapped Top Downloader??
He did 185 GB's last month... DUDE... you're wasting your f***ing money damn it!
Downgrade to their 512k service and pull "the theoretical maximum" of 165 GB's through the service... hey... it's 19,5 GB's off of what you were doing on the 1024k offering, THUS... you're wasting your money!!! Get what I'm saying?

Having said that... Top Downloader on 512k "circuit" ... you're doing alright man! still loosing out on a few gigs a month, but hey... not too bad.

In the same breath, the dude on the 384k service... you're doing alright! falling 20 GB short of your "theoretical maximum" - but still, you're doing ok!

Now, getting back to the stuff up... is their graph actually meant to plot
386k ADSL as 256k WiMax
512k ADSL as 384k WiMax
1024k ADSL as 512k WiMax
4096k ADSL as 1024k WiMax

????

No, because the 1024k WiMax is doing WAY too much bandwidth for that 1024k "circuit" to allow.
No, because then at 256k, the person is doing 81GB this is just shy of the "theoretical maximum" - highly doubt this figure is correct!
So, it just leaves me a bit confused? Anybody else agree?

* all calculated figures are rough working out dropping the odd meg or ten and are calculated on a 30 day month!

I was hoping to see a response LOL. I saw another this week - can't remember though which site but i was looking at uncapped offerings so I can't say for sure but a 348Kb connection max was around 75Gigs+!!!

Yeah, was also hoping to see a response.
Amazing how these companies think that they can just randomly thumb suck numbers and display them as "legitimate" ???
