So my contract is up, and I am due for an upgrade.
Chances are that I am gonna wait for the Samsung GS2, and this would be my first Android phone coming from a HTC Touch HD with WinMo.
As per the title, it seems like a highly debatable topic. Some people say they wouldn't dare NOT having a protector, while others say they prefer the 'naked' feel of not having a protector. I have always used decent screen protectors, like Martin Fields, but then again I have always used resistive LCD's with a stylus. It does seem like a waste to have Gorilla glass, and then ruin it with a screen protector, but then again, my 2 year old phone looks almost perfect - no scratches on the body or the screen. I guess it being in the soft sock supplied with the phone did help, and carrying it in a pocket on it's own with keys and stuff in another pocket.
Does a screen protector ruin the whole capacitive Gorilla glass experience? Do you use a case, and/or screen protector with your phone?
Another question that has cropped up, how much data is enough with Android? I believe some widgets can use quite a bit of data in a month with auto-updates, and email can use quite a bit. I have unlimited use of WiFi at home and work with uncapped ADSL, but how much data would be enough for the 10% of my life when I am not at home or work?
Can't wait to delve into the Android world, and the SGS2 looks like just the beast to do it with. Hopefully Samsung and Vodacom don't make us wait too long.
