Hi,

Cracked my samsung galaxy s6's screen. But looks like it is only the gorilla glass and not the screen itself (screen is fully functional visually and touch). I've seen a couple of ads on gumtree where they offer to fix only the gorilla glass. Anyone tried this before? Worth it or should we bite the bullet and replace full screen? If so, any recommendations on a budget.

Btw, no ADH as it is an Orange import.

Depends on the cost. If it's a little more for the full LCD, do that. Sometimes the touch isn't as responsive if the glass only is replaced but other times there isn't much difference

AFAIK the screen and glass are bonded - so you cannot really replace them separately.

Might be obvious, but just check if its the actual screen or a tempered glass screen protector that has been damaged. Lady at work was freaking out that she cracked her screen, so I just peeled off the protector. As someone said the glass and screen are bonded, so I'm not sure if you could crack just one

The S6 uses an AMOLED panel - not LCD. A QHD AMOLED panel is quite expensive.
