screen saver / time display app

hi guys

a GF of mine has an i6 phone and she likes the app I have on my android phone called NoLED as it displays the time (during the night) without having to switch the screen on all the time.

this app displays calls / messages / whatsapp / email / FB / time and other things as part of it's screen saver.


is there something like this for an iphone? or can her phone be setup to display the time as a screen saver?

You won't get a app like that for iPhone, iPhones use a LED display so the entire backlight can only be on or off. On phones with OLED screens apps like that switches on only certain pixels on screen while the rest of the screen remains off, so it saves a lot of battery power. If there is a similar app out there for iPhone, it won't save any more battery power over just normally turning on the home screen, even if it makes the screen dark, the backlight will still have to be on.
