I have been to the Apple Shop a few times in the last few days. I ordered an iPad Air but they won't release it because they don't have stock of the free case which comes with it? They won't even let me take the iPad and pick up the cover in the new year? I have had it. I leave to Cape Town tomorrow, and won't be back till early Jan.

Apparently they are very "strict"

That's Apple for you, "very strict"

FNB have told Apple that they cannot release the iPad without the cover. I don't mind going on holiday without it, not a biggie, but I have had so many troubles with this whole setup. I had to go to FNB twice to change my physical address even though I have had a bond through them for 4 years.. Then Fourways iStore didn't have stock all of a sudden on my certain iPad, then sandton wouldn't allow me to take the iPad. I had to resubmit forms a couple of times. It just seems to be really disorganized.

FNB do suck, especially their smart device department. They just need to employ smart people now.

FNB have gone down the path of volume retail banking like ABSA did a few years back, as a result they offer very little or no personalized service. Strangely I recently moved back to ABSA and my private banker tells me ABSA have done a complete 180 and have abandoned their volume retail banking priority and are now focusing on retaining clients through basic service.

I have paid up my device and FNB continues to debit my account, dealing with them just adds to ones frustrations so rather buy a device on your card and be done with the frustration.
