I couldn't decide which is better for this topic: Health or Sport. But as my ear is quite sore, and sport is inhabited by people who watch rather than play (how many Boks on the forum...?), I decided on health.

I went scuba diving this morning. First dive was easy and fine, during the second dive my sinuses started acting up and I struggled equalizing. So I ascended a bit, and levelled at about 9m, and was very comfy there. At the end of the dive I ascended quite slowly, but ended up with reverse squeeze.

First time I've had it, and I don't like it! :o Anyone else here who've had reverse squeeze before? How long did yours take to clear? My hearing is fine (though my ear is still blocked), so I'm pretty sure I didn't burst my ear drum. It's simply not THAT painful.

One thing I'm sure of - until this silly ear of mine is cleared you won't get me near the water or even close to an aeroplane!

You can try "Swimmer drops" to put in you ears but don't think that would help a reverse squeeze, other than that only time will tell.
Don't think I have had it but from other people I know, I think 2 days.

Where did you dive weather in CT not that great so no diving here.

I always take a couple of Sudafed before a dive, to clear my sinuses, as I've always had problems with my ears. This is the best advice I can give you, as I've never had a problem in 20 years of diving.

@JazzeD - Miracle Waters near PTA. Not the greatest location around, but I'd like to get more experience even if I can't get to Sodwana or such.

@Valis - I'll definitely start looking at something like that. I don't want to feel like this again!

It's cleared a lot during the night, but still some pressure remaining. I guess two days is pretty accurate.
