Hi,

I have ALL my photos on that SD card is there a way to get my photos off. Or have i lost them for good

Place the card in an adapter and then try to access from PC with photo recovery software.

Had the same with mine 16gb faaktap. Put it in a card reader, but no dice. It's fubar. Thought it was isolated case... seems not so ne

I have had this SD card in a few devices and was perfect and now for it to crash is just not cool

It seems quite common. Happened to one of my cards, luckily I backup to Dropbox when i take photos. Happened to a friend who didn't. It seems the controller just dies.

What size were each of these memory cards? I heard people that they had a few issues with 64 gig cards, but they were class 4.

What make were they? I am using a Sandisk Ultra class 10 card. Its read and write speeds are good for hd media and watching movies etc.

Can you also list what class they were e.g. class 10.

If you guys can make a list of the answers to the above questions, we could possibly narrow down whether its one particular brand that has issues, size or class.

Also beware.....I have seen a few friends of mine buy cards because they saw them really cheap online. Those turned out to be fakes and they learnt the hard way.

I'm not very familiar with that make. I am using a Sandisk Ultra 64gig card. Mine is class 10. I will back up my stuff and test my card by loading a few movies etc, and see if the same thing happens.

I rather test it early so I could return it if any issues occur.

I am curious to see whether anyone with a "Sandisk Ultra" class 10 card has had any issues.

Ive had a look at several forums like the XDA and android central, and many users mention that the Sandisk Ultra (Class 10) cards work the best.

That's actually the reason I went and bought that particular brand. I could be wrong here but lets see if mine works as expected after a few months.
