Hi guys.

My future father in law's birthday is coming up.

He's a keen photographer, and I know he's been running out of storage capacity on his SD cards.
He uses a Nikon D90 camera, and I saw Esquire had a special on a 32GB Kingston SDHC card.

Does someone here now what particulars I should be looking at when getting him a card?

My idea was to get him as big as possible, while maintaining the full functionality of the camera. (Meaning no pauses for reading/writing data to the card)

Your input is appreciated!

Regards

If he currently uses SD cards then he has access to fairly new PC... so then does he have WiFi at home? If so, why not get him the Eye-Fi card? It's a SD card with built-in wifi that can automatically transfer your photos to your home Wifi connection, without removing it from the camera. In fact the camera might think that the card never fills up because you can tell it to automatically remove picture too once they are transferred.

Sounds like it could make a nice gift.

Check out www.eye.fi.

Thanks..

Although those are great, he generally takes most pics while outside, on a mountain or something.. Downloading the pics then won't be useful.

I would rather want to get him a 32GB card that will take some time to fill up, seeing that he currently has only 2GB cards..
