Hi All,

Not sure who would be able to help a noob ... :D

I have a normal SD PVR ... now my setup:
1. in my living room is my decoder with the main TV.
2. in my bedroom with the TV-Link setup using the eye we watch our additional channels.
3. now I want to split from my bedroom to my daughter's bedroom via a splitter, now in her bedroom we can see both setups (signals), the main tv signal and the bedroom's tv signal but the signal is not very good ... the picture on her TV is very snowy, where the picture on the other 2 tv's are fine what can I do to solve the snowy picture in my daughter's room ?

Thanks all.

We used a 10M flylead male to male cable with the splitter , is this even correct ?

You may need an amplifier.

If memory serves correctly 10 metres is DSTV's maximum for the second channel.

And snow frequently a weak signal.

Weak signal, you're gonna need an amp, go take a look at builders, they're a white box with 1 input and 2 outputs and a sort of hump on the top, if possible try find one with a TV link pass through incase you ever want to use a TV eye in the room

Try this disconnect the TV link in your room, in other words try the setup without any TV links. The extra power that the decoder sends to the TV link will boost the signal. Then go and check your daughters room again, if it is clear you need a booster. Try and get an slx splitter those are about 200 bucks from space TV. They work well, are powered externally and pass TV link signals through

Unfortunately, removing the TVlink will do nothing to boost the signal to the daughter's room. 2-way SLx splitter should sort things out. He can then get an additional TVlink and remote for the daughter to control the second viewing environment.

I did suggest that he purchase an Slx splitter, as I have and it solved a similar issue. While he is at space TV he might as well purchase a TV link for his daughters room. No offence to Space TV but when purchasing the TV link, specify that you want the multichoice TV link not any other brand as I have had issues with the space TV and ellie TV links in the past

I know you did suggest and that is why I was agreeing with you. The Triax TVlink from Space TV functions 100%...
