SD PVR with Sata Hard Drive

no, AFAIK only certain channels will not be able to be received by the SD PVR
 
They are forcing all of us who have sd pvrs to buy an explora, for no real concrete reason.

We have an explora with xtraview sd pvr. Is there any other setup that will allow 3 TVs viewing without a sd pvr? Ie. 3x exploras?

If you don't need the PVR function, 3x single HD view decoders or 2 explorers and one single HD, or 2 single HD's with 1 explora.

The device is close on ten years old, they are switching satellites which the old decoders won't be able to handle. It's not really for no valid reason.
 
Guys why still battle? Let's forget about netflix etc BUT THERE ARE OPTIONS. There are systems with hundreds of channels for free. I think dstv has run its course

depends on the Sata/IDE converter. I made a male/female 90 Bend, your pic is male/male.

still have my SD PVR decoder - nothing wrong with it except it needs a software install.

2yrs ago I switched on and it come up with an error code - research indicated it needed a software reinstall - took it to N1 city branch were they refused to reinstall the software - tried to sell me a new HD explora - I refused and told them to cancel my a premium account. was led outside to a white shipping container and eventually had my account cancelled.

pity someone never cloned the original working hdd - then I could have just re clone mine.

anyone in CT interested in the hdd or the whole decoder and you can grease my hands with enough pieces of silver - can have it.

It's not BS, They activated an old M-Net decoder for me last year, which I have since cancelled, I just walked into to the store with the decoder, provided my change of ownership forms, and they did the transfer no questions asked. I suggest you contact the N1 city branch directly. Personally I love the SD PVR.

This is the only proof I can give.

Doing this I noticed each recording has 2 files DES00000000.KEY and DES04000000.KEY. The latter contains the Smartcard number and I presume to be a check. The former has some random data which I presume to be the key used to encrypt it at the time as these constantly change. DSTV uses 3DES encryption. Is there any possible way to decrypt it using these? Is there a program you can feed encryption keys of files into?
 
No Idea .... never bothered with trying to decrypt DSTV (beyond my skill set). I've long since moved off DSTV any way.
