Anybody know where (and at what price) I can still pick up a SD PVR?

Two tuner can be had for R1400, don't know how much 4 timers is.

Sent from my HTC Desire S using MyBroadband Android App

SDPVRs are in demand cos its the only way you can view 3 channels with Xtraview
4 tuner HDPVRs are not really available anymore (a few places still have old stock though)
Rather get a 2 tuner though

I've found a second hand 4 tuner for a good price. Why should I rather go for the 2 tuner? (I'm not very familiar with all the specs)

Also, the LNB I have now only has two outputs. Will this work with a 4 tuner? If yes, I'm assuming it'll only allow me to use 2 tuners though?

Yes, you get a whatchacallit that makes two into four.

The 2 tuners are generally quicker and will be able to handle the next gen of software. If you are going to need to record 2 at a time then get the 4 tuner.
Personally though I have a 4 tuner & a 2 tuner, and the 2 tuner does just fine recording my shows & my wife's shows, remember you get most of the M-Net series on CatchUp anyway, so you don't really need to record them (I do as backup though)

2x4 multiswitch will be required
If you are without it for a while then connect tuners 1 & 4, you won't be able to record though

Got my SD PVR for R800.
Guy said it was not powering up, cost me R3.50 to fix.
Replaced 2 caps & got a bargain :)
With the HD PVR hooked up i have 2 viewing environments at home & one going to the neighbour (so split the bill)!!!!
Only way to beat the high DSTV prices ;)
